The fight to remove racism from soccer takes center stage on Wednesday for the Euro semi finals.

For the games in Basle and Vienna,the two captains will bring a message in support of diversity immediately after the playing of the national anthems.This initiative,which includes pitch side advertising,is funded by UEFA and so far appears to be having an effect,to make this a refreshingly sporting tournament.

A UEFA spokesman says,”We have been lucky here in that we have not had any racist or xenophobic incidents.”
